The most notable feature of Theodor Fontane’s novels is their powerful emotionalism. Music is the ideal vehicle for this – and Grete Minde is Fontane’s most dramatic work.
Part 1: Break Part 2: Together with the Artistic Director of Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg, Professor Siegfried Matthus, the guest conductor of Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester Frankfurt, Takao Ukigaya, and the director of Theatersommer Netzeband, Frank Matthus, and with support from the Ruppiner Kantorei and the Märkischer Jugendchor, notable personalities which have their biographical roots in Fontane’s homeland of Ruppin will be composing, arranging and staging the Grete Minde project. The Niemöllerplatz alongside the Klosterkirche, on the foundations of the former Dominican monastery and right next to the lake and the town wall, is the ideal place for staging an open air performance. Scenes from Grete Minde like the solemn procession of the Prince, or the heroine’s flight with Valentin over the water and meeting with the Abbess, will come across with great emotional effect in this setting. Experience the drama of the Middle Ages – with the first ever performance of new music by one of the most celebrated German composers.Artistic DirectorFrank MatthusLibrettoAnton PerreyMusicProf. Siegfried MatthusConductorTakao UkigayaOrchestraBrandenburgisches Staatsorchester FrankfurtTicketsCategory IV: 9,- €* / Category III: 19,- €* / Catergory II: 29,- €* / Category I: 39,- €* *Die hier angegebenen Preise verstehen sich zzgl.
